How To Use This Site
As we add more articles and links to this site we realize it has the potential to confuse. Here are a few tips to help you find the info you need.
This site is built on webblog software. Webblogs or blogs are sites built on simple databases that are hosted on the web. Most are personal journals or sites devoted to specific subjects or interest areas. Ours is devoted to helping anyone who is considering, planning or actually doing a kitchen renovation or new kitchen.
The first thing you’ll notice about this site will probably be articles or ‘postings’ like this one that appear in the center column. These are displayed by date of the posting and organized by being assigned to categories like Appliances or Cabinetry. Some have multiple categories. If you’re seeking information related to a specific category, simply click on the Category in the list in the left hand column and all the related articles will appear in the center.
The site also supports Photo Galleries which appear in a list below Categories. Scroll down and you’ll see them in the left hand column. We’re just getting started so there are only a few but we will be adding new ones on a frequent basis. They open in a new window and you can browse through thumbnails (small images) of the pictures. When you see one that interests you, click on the thumbnail and a larger image appears with text commentary. As an alternative you can view all images in a gallery by clicking on the ‘next’ link. Here’s a tip for your design scrapbook: Hold down your ‘Control’ key and click on the image to download it or print it. These images are all copyrighted by us and may not be used for commercial purposes, however we don’t mind a download for your personal planning purposes.
Keep scrolling down that left column and you’ll see Design Books We Recommend. These titles are our choices for readers who are planning and using their new kitchen.
