As you can see we’ve been away from this site for quite a while, too long in fact. That’s going to change in a big way. The entire world of kitchens is moving very quickly with amazing innovation in appliances (cooktops that heat the pan as hot as a restaurant range without heating the surface- how do they do that? we’ll tell you…), materials (Laminated bamboo counters and floors are hot!), lighting controls (preset your dimmers for intimate dinners, daylight at any time, party lighting, etc.), ways to save big money and ways to spend big money.
Watch kitchen2020.com for these stories and a lot more. And we’re going to continue our sometimes irreverent style and maybe move it up a notch. You’ll see comments enabled also, so you can weigh in. We want to hear from you.
Finally, a note about ads and the links on the left in Resources. The Google ads on the right help us pay for the site. We’re only using Google at this point because their ad system is most likely to show you ads that relate to the content of the story you’re reading- no pitches for that stuff you don’t want! The Links in the Resources section are not paid for- we choose what goes there based on sites we think are going to be useful to our readers. Lots of them are commercial sites because that’s where the info is and that’s what we’re all about: helping you create a great kitchen.
